Description[]
Astos is a dark elven wizard from the world of Final Fantasy in Videoland. He is loosely based on the minor antagonist of the same name from the original Final Fantasy.

As part of his plan to conquer the prince's kingdom, Astos disguised himself as a kindly elven friar and hypnotized Kevin Keene. Kevin slipped a potion into the prince's drink that caused him to fall asleep, and Astos fled to his castle and used Kevin to train his warriors. Princess Lana, Mega Man, and Kid Icarus managed to infiltrate the castle and reclaim the witch's stolen Light Crystal, which broke the spell on Kevin and revealed Astos and his warriors for the monsters they were. They then fled from the castle with Astos in hot pursuit, escaping him by leaping over the moat as the castle drawbridge closed.
